OLOL Children's Hospital steel topping ceremony
BATON ROUGE- Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital will celebrate the completion of steel on its new freestanding facility with a ceremony and a hoisting of specially signed beams today.
The beams were signed in person and virtually by more than a thousand individuals including current and former patients, team members from Our Lady of the Lake and across Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, donors, physicians and members of the community.
The ceremony will be today at 1:30 p.m. at the new facility construction site off Essen Lane.
The facility will be able to treat more than 100 thousand patients per year from throughout Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Hospital officials are hoping the construction will be complete by next year.
