BATON ROUGE — Three Capital Area parishes, as well as two nearby counties in Mississippi, have been placed under burn bans.

Residents in Amite and Wilkinson counties, as well as St. Helena, Tangipahoa and East Feliciana parishes, are all asked to refrain from burning due to conditions conducive to spreading flames.
