La. pushes past 31% in race to vaccinate state's population: Latest data Thursday

BATON ROUGE - Louisiana administered 16,307 doses of the COVID vaccine since Tuesday. 

According to the Louisiana Department of Health, 1,659,636 people across the state have received at least their first dose of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines or received the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. 

The state says 1,477,339 people have been fully vaccinated. That's about 31.7% of the state's population. 

As of Thursday, 3,027,920 total doses have been administered in Louisiana.
