Man arrested in Livingston Parish after off-duty deputy spots stolen car
LIVINGSTON — A man was arrested in Livingston Parish on Saturday after an off-duty deputy allegedly found him driving a stolen vehicle.
According to Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard, deputies were dispatched after an off-duty deputy with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office noticed a vehicle that was reported stolen from East Baton Rouge Parish.
Upon deputies' arrival, 21-year-old D'Juan Cooper Jr., who was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the incident, allegedly fled on foot before being quickly detained.

Cooper was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center for illegal possession of stolen things and resisting an officer. He is also wanted for robbery through a neighboring jurisdiction, according to Sheriff Ard.
