BATON ROUGE — The second round of Louisiana FastSites funding was announced Wednesday by Louisiana Economic Development.

The second round application period will open Oct. 1 and close Dec. 1, with $50 million available for eligible projects. Sites must be development-ready and able to begin construction within nine months, according to LED.

FastSite is backed by the $200 million Site Investment and Infrastructure Fund established by the Louisiana Legislature under Gov. Jeff Landry. The program acts as a state refillable savings account, with the sites paying the fund back after the initial investment is made.

FastSites is changing how Louisiana prepares for economic development by investing before infrastructure becomes a barrier," LED Chief Economic Competitiveness Officer Ileana Ledet said in a prepared statement.

Projects that receive the funding will be announced in early 2027.

To help potential applicants learn more about the program and process, LED will host a web seminar on Friday at 1 p.m.; registration is available here
