ASCENSION PARISH - Repair work is set to begin on Monday on the Galvez Avenue Bridge, spanning Sides Bayou.

The indefinite closure of the bridge was rescheduled to Nov. 27, due to weather concerns last week.

While repairs are taking place, a temporary access road will be available for traffic from Cortez Avenue to Galvez Avenue.

The affected area is a residential stretch on Galvez Ave., east of North Burnside Ave.
