PRAIRIEVILLE - Authorities have arrested four people after a body was found in the yard of an Ascension Parish home Sunday.

According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old Brian Long was found dead in the yard of the home on Brown Road in Prairieville around 1 p.m. Sunday.

The sheriff's office says Long was lured to the home of 38-year-old Joseph Oncale and 28-year-old Fallon Gautreau, where the two intended to rob him. Investigators say 35-year-old Jason Giles and 35-year-old Mark Forbes also took part in the set-up.

Once Long arrived at the home, he was struck from behind while Forbes stood by, armed with a handgun. The four allegedly chased Long down to Brown Road when he attempted to flee and killed him.

All four have been charged with first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. No bond has been set.

The sheriff's office says Gautreau was previously arrested on child desertion charges in 2012 after the drowning of her 2-year-old daughter. In that case, Gautreau had left the unsupervised girl with neighborhood children playing near a swimming pool.

The girl's grandfather was in the home when Gautreau left, but was not aware the child had been left in the yard.

The girl was found in the pool when Gautreau returned home and taken to a hospital. Gautreau was arrested after the girl was eventually taken off life support.

In 2013, Gautreau pled guilty to child desertion and was sentenced to six months in the parish jail with credit to time served.
