DONALDSONVILLE—A downed telephone pole is blocking the roadway at East Bayou Road and Fourth Street, the Ascension Parish Sheriff Office shared on Monday afternoon.

The roadway is completely blocked at this time. There is currently no estimated time for the roadway to reopen, according to authorities, who are encouraging residents to avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible.

Authorities are expected to provide an update when the roadway is reopened.
