BATON ROUGE- The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) Board of Commissioners is scheduled to have a meeting Friday to select an Interim CEO after Bob Mirabito’s resignation on Tuesday.

Mirabito announced his resignation from the city’s public transit system on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the meeting agenda, the board of commissioners is set to select an Interim CEO.

The meeting is set for Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the BREC Administrative Building on Florida Boulevard.

The agenda also states that a contract will be approved between the new Interim CEO and the Board president.

In addition, a search committee for a permanent CEO will also be appointed at the meeting.
