Baton Rouge therapy dog brings joy to hospice patients
BATON ROUGE — A therapy dog held a meet-and-greet at the Knock Knock Children's Museum on Saturday.
Goosey, a four-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from Baton Rouge, is an AKC-certified therapy dog with Bayou Buddies Pet Therapy as well as Reading Education Assistance Dogs.
Goosey's specialties include working with older adults and hospice patients, where his gentle nature creates deeply meaningful moments.
One of Goosey's most memorable moments included being one man's final visitor, offering comfort and companionship at the end of his life.
