Baton Rouge funeral home holds prayer service before All Saints Day
BATON ROUGE — Greenoaks Funeral Home held a special prayer service to remember the dead ahead of All Saints' Day.
Christians around the world will celebrate All Saints Day on Sunday. Managers at the funeral home say the Christian holiday is a significant time of year for them.
"This is a very significant day for the Catholic faith, but I think it's also very significant for the state of Louisiana. It's a day when family members come out to honor those who have passed. They come and visit their loved ones, clean the graves, place flowers and it's just an opportunity for them to keep them in their thoughts and prayers going into the next year," said Greenoaks General Manager Tracy Schexnayder.
