Authorities searching for driver in vehicle pursuit through Baton Rouge Monday
BATON ROUGE - Authorities from multiple agencies are searching for a man who led them on a vehicle pursuit and foot chase through baton Rouge late Monday afternoon.
State Police said a trooper tried to stop a red Chevy pickup truck on Bluebonnet near Burbank just before 4:30 p.m. Monday after the driver committed a traffic violation.
The driver didn’t stop and a vehicle chase ensued, ending in a foot race through the BREC Farr Park Equestrian Center, according to LSP. The fleeing man was not captured, and the truck turned out to be stolen.
Troopers described the man as a light-complexioned black man with curly hair and a goatee. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue pants and a black backpack.
Multiple agencies continue to search the area around the equestrian center.
