DEMCO conducting maintenance, trimming trees alongside power lines, roadways in Livingston Parish

MAUREPAS — On Friday and Saturday, DEMCO will be conducting maintenance and trimming trees alongside power lines and roadways in Livingston Parish.
As a result, there will be temporary roadway shutdowns along La. 22 near Linda's Haven Road and Magnolia Bluff Road in Killian, as well as along Bear Island Road in Maurepas and along La. 444 near Pete's Landing in Lower Livingston.

FRANKLIN — The La. 322 Sterling Bridge over Bayou Teche in Franklin will be closed through 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The closure started at 8:30 a.m. and is being done to allow crews to perform routine maintenance and repairs.

TEAM 2 TRAFFIC: 2 right lanes blocked on I-10 eastbound between Dalrymple, Perkins due to stalled semi

BATON ROUGE — A stalled vehicle is blocking the two right lanes on eastbound I-10.
The blockage, which was first reported around 6 a.m., is between the Dalrymple Drive/LSU exit and the Perkins Road exit.
Traffic is backed up several miles to around the La. 1 Port Allen/Plaquemine exit on the west side of the Mississippi River.

US 90 will be reduced to one lane as crews work to conduct inspections in Assumption Parish

BAYOU L'OURSE — U.S. 90 eastbound and westbound will both be reduced to one lane Tuesday as crews work to conduct routine bridge inspections in Assumption Parish.
The closures will be done between mile markers 182 and 185 near the Assumption-St. Mary parish line.

Crews in St. Francisville closing Ferdinand Street starting Monday for erosion and drainage project

ST. FRANCISVILLE — Crews in St. Francisville are working on several erosion and drainage projects throughout the town, with one along Ferdinand Street starting Monday.
Ferdinand Street will be closed during daytime hours between Johnson and Royal streets, as well as Royal Street at Sewell Street, through Nov. 2.
A detour will be provided for local traffic traveling to Royal Street at Johnson Street.

Perkins Road between Kleinert, Terrace avenues closed for several weeks for power pole replacement

BATON ROUGE — A portion of Perkins Road will be closed for several weeks starting Wednesday.
The closure, between Kleinert and Terrace avenues on Perkins, is being done to allow for power pole replacement.
The closure starts Wednesday at 8 a.m. and will last through Oct. 9 at 4 p.m.
A detour will be available by taking Kleinert Avenue to Camelia Avenue before going onto Terrace Avenue.

HAMMOND — A crash on I-12 eastbound near I-55 southbound has closed all lanes of traffic.
The crash happened around 7:13 a.m.
Traffic is backed up several miles on I-12 approaching the Pumpkin Center Road exit.

Right lane of La. 70 westbound on Sunshine Bridge to be closed for inspection

SORRENTO — The right lane of La. 70 westbound on the Sunshine Bridge will be closed for several hours daily over the next two weeks.
The closure starts Monday and lasts through Sept. 25.
The closures will be active from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily as crews work to inspect the bridge, state transportation officials said.

BATON ROUGE - The entrance ramp from Scenic Highway to I-110 South is closed after an 18-wheeler overturned on the roadway.
DOTD first reported the crash around 3:37 a.m. on Thursday.
The crash comes only one day after a multi-hour road closure caused by another overturned 18-wheeler along I-10 near Dalrymple Drive.

BATON ROUGE — I-110 southbound near Government Street was blocked after a crash on Wednesday.
The crash was first reported around 5 a.m. and was blocking all lanes.
By 11 a.m., all lanes reopened.
Congestion was beyond the I-110 curve near the Governor's Mansion.

For next several weeks, bridge over Drainage Bayou along Brian Road will be closed in Zachary

ZACHARY — For the next several weeks, the bridge over Drainage Bayou along Brian Road will be closed.
Starting Tuesday, East Baton Rouge City-Parish Department of Transportation and Drainage Traffic Engineering Division crews will repair the bridge, which is along Brian Road near where the roadway becomes Thompson Road.
The closure and repairs will last through Oct. 1.

BATON ROUGE — A crash on I-10 eastbound near Perkins Road left the left lane blocked Friday afternoon.
The crash, first reported around 12:37 p.m., left traffic congested past the I-10/12 merge.
By 1:40 p.m., the roadway reopened.
