Stretch of US 190 in Hammond closed starting this weekend as crews stripe road

HAMMOND — A stretch of U.S. 190 in Hammond will be closed starting Sunday for lane striping.
The highway will be closed from North Carter Street to SW Railroad Avenue from Sunday, Nov. 8, to Thursday, Nov. 12.
During the closure, eastbound drivers should take U.S. 51 north to La. 3234, then southeast on La. 3234 to reintersect with U.S. 190. Westbound drivers should take La. 3234 northwest to U.S. 51, then south on U.S. 51 to reintersect with U.S. 190.
Another closure between SW Railroad and La. 443 is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 15 through Thursday, Nov. 19.
