Flash flood watch, heavy rains continue

BATON ROUGE- Weather officials said a flash flood watch continues for some of the WBRZ viewing area early Wednesday morning.

Moderate rainfall is still expected through the morning hours. Be aware during the morning commute and remember to "Turn Around, Don't Drown." Only a few inches of moving water is enough to carry your vehicle.

The Department of Transportation and Development said water was over parts of the interstate system through East Baton Rouge Parish early Wednesday morning. Multiple wrecks were also reported on I-10 and I-110 during the slippery conditions. Drivers should be prepared for potential delays throughout the morning.

The WBRZ Weather team reports that some nearby areas could receive two to four inches of rain through this event. The flash flood watch remains in effect through 10 a.m. Wednesday for the following parishes and counties:
