Miracle at Woman's Hospital: Baton Rouge native with endometriosis gives birth to triplets

BATON ROUGE - In a matter of minutes, Wakita Dorsey went from being a mother of one to a mother of four.
"My first reaction, my natural reaction, was I know you're lying," Dorsey said.
On Aug. 11, Dorsey gave birth to a set of triplet boys.
"When that first ultrasound came and they told me it was three, I was like... three what," Dorsey said.
Their names are Kayson, Kyrie and Kylen, and they were born at 29 weeks: the heaviest weighing three pounds and four ounces, the smallest weighing only two pounds and three ounces.
"But, like I said, they are doing amazing. They are not on vents; we're not on a lot of stuff, so God is amazing; that's all I can tell you," Dorsey continued.
Sometimes she sits in amazement when she thinks about her background.
"I did not know that I can still have children; I know it's possible. But in my head, I couldn't have any more children," she said. "And then to have endometriosis and come back and have three, without IVF, without anything like that, it's amazing."
The new big sister, 10-year-old Mackenzie, has adjusted to her new role. It's something that she prayed about.
"She said, 'But Mommy, I prayed for one, not three of them.' But she loves all of her brothers, of course, and helps out with them," Dorsey added.
Through it all, Dorsey's biggest message to anyone struggling to conceive is to have faith.
"Trust God because I definitely did not think I could have any more children," she said.
