JACKSON, Miss. - There was a clear aura of frustration around Southern football following its 35-17 loss to Jackson State. Familiar issues of inconsistency and slow starts on both sides of the ball doomed the Jags in their eighth straight loss to JSU.
Marshall Faulk's postgame comments following the defeat were brief.
"Right now, I'm emotional; they're emotional," said Faulk. "I just know that we're better than what we did today. But if we continue to come out and be inconsistent, that becomes who we are. And that's who we are right now."
