ESPN College GameDay host visits Baton Rouge ahead of LSU season opener

BATON ROUGE — ESPN's College GameDay is set to broadcast live ahead of LSU's season opener against Clemson, and Kirk Herbstreit, one of the show's hosts, made his first stop in Baton Rouge at Raising Cane's original location just outside LSU's campus Thursday morning.
He was joined by his dog, Peter, and Raising Cane's founder Todd Graves for a shift at the restaurant, and they also filmed a new ad celebrating Cane's 30th anniversary.
Saturday's broadcast will mark the 500th episode of College GameDay. Herbstreit shared his thoughts on what fans can expect.
"It doesn't get much better than what we're gonna see Saturday night," Herbstreit said.
Louisiana native Lainey Wilson will serve as College GameDay's guest picker this weekend.
