Coroner identifies 69-year-old man killed after being struck while checking mail in Iberville Parish

PLAQUEMINE — A 69-year-old man died after being struck by a pickup truck while he was checking his mail along La. 75 in Iberville Parish.
According to the Iberville Parish Coroner's Office, James Berthelot died after being struck around 4 p.m. on Monday, south of La. 404 near the Bayou Pigeon Library.
Louisiana State Police are still investigating the fatal crash.
