BRPD: Woman found dead in home with possible stab wounds

BATON ROUGE — A woman was found dead in her home with possible stab wounds, Baton Rouge Police said Wednesday.

Police said 54-year-old Faun Reese was found dead in her home along Cypress Road on Tuesday afternoon. Police also found another injured person in Reese's home, who was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Reese's father, Ronnie Reese, spoke with WBRZ. He said he received a call from his sister, who was close to Faun, saying Faun's live-in boyfriend called from her phone.

"A red flag went up," Reese said.

Reese said he called the Baton Rouge Police Department for a welfare check, and he said police told them that there was no answer when they knocked. He then went to the apartment at a later time with a police officer present.

At the apartment, Reese said after the door was opened, the officer said that emergency services needed to be called and one of Reese's friends said "she's gone." Reese also said that the boyfriend was in the apartment "foaming at the mouth" on his bed.

"Foam and foam, like he OD'd. But she was dead," Reese said. He also told WBRZ that the two previously had "troubles" in several years of their relationship.

No arrests have been made at this time in the case. WBRZ reached out to BRPD for more information.
