When will schools reopen? - Updated closure list
BATON ROUGE – As Baton Rouge area communities begin to rebuild and recover, public schools are set to reopen in most parishes next week.
The following schools are scheduled to open on these days:

Some schools in Ascension Parish could open as early as Wednesday, the school system said Friday. All campuses will be closed to students on Monday and Tuesday but twelve month employees are asked to report to work.
East Baton Rouge parish students are to report to school on Wednesday, Aug. 24 and teachers were to return to work on Monday, Aug. 22. PreK and kindergarten students are to return on Monday, Aug. 29.
Baker Schools open Monday, though school officials said Baker High School may be closed for the first semester after the school was flooded. Superintendent Herman Brister said the school took on several inches of water during the historic flooding across south Louisiana. Brister said Baker High Students will be shifted to Baker Middle School. Classes at Baker Middle School will be moved to Bakerfield Elementary. Bakerfield students will be shifted to Baker Heights. School hours remain the same.
