BATON ROUGE – A low-tier, HD replay of WBRZ newscasts is now available to Cox subscribers.

Tuesday evening, WBRZ will also be available on channel 11 or 1011 and feature the most recent newscast and weather report. Live breaking news will be covered on the channel, too.

The new channel 11 does not change the current programming of the current channel 5 or 1005 on Cox. WBRZ will still broadcast WBRZ News 2 newscasts, ABC programming and entertainment shows there. Newscasts can now be seen on both channels, though.

Eatel customers have always had the news repeat channel and it remains on channel 2.

Over-the-air, WBRZ 2.1 will maintain the traditional programming of WBRZ. WBRZ 2.2 will feature the HD news replay mimicked on cable.

The area's local weather channel remains on Cox channel 18 but has moved for viewers who receive the signal over-the-air. The weather channel is now on 36.3, the subchannel of WBTR, the other Manship family-owned station in Baton Rouge. WBTR remains on cable channel 19.
