BATON ROUGE — A man who was wanted by officers following the beating death of his 92-year-old father was detained at the end of a police chase Tuesday, sources told the WBRZ Investigative Unit.

Larry Salisbury, 92, was found beaten to death inside a home along Archery Drive on Monday night, Baton Rouge Police say. His injuries were consistent with blunt-force trauma.

Salisbury's son, Bruce, was detained in connection with the beating following a pursuit that ended around Greenwell Springs Road and Airline Highway on Tuesday morning.

Footage from the scene showed Bruce Salisbury's car flipped onto its side along the road.

Sources say he was taken to a hospital following the crash.

This is a developing story.
