BATON ROUGE — Several reports were filed with LSU Police regarding alleged hazing incidents on campus, police records show.

Letters from the LSU Division of Student Affairs show Phi Gamma Delta and Delta Kappa Epsilon have been placed on an interim suspension during the investigations.  

Additionally, the WBRZ Investigative Unit obtained police reports, which indicate one complaint took place at an address matching a fraternity house on September 4. Officers said they fielded an anonymous phone call that hazing was being conducted by a known LSU fraternity. No suspect or victim was named. 

Another report was connected to a previous incident WBRZ reported on, where three 18-year-old LSU students were arrested after allegedly running over two ducks off of East Fraternity Circle on September 16. LSU officials say the incident is connected to a fraternity, but is not currently being investigated as a hazing incident.

One of the two suspended fraternities was recently allowed back on campus. In 2019, Delta Kappa Epsilon was suspended after hazing violations. Their national chapter said an investigation revealed student members "made choices inconsistent with the policies and values of DKE." They specifically cite alleged hazing and violations of the fraternity's alcohol policies as reasons for the shutdown. 

The fraternity was supposed to be suspended until May 2029, but was allowed to return early in 2025.
