Tuesday is start of early voting for Nov. 3 election, with 10 amendments, congressional seats on ballot
BATON ROUGE — Tuesday is the first day of early voting.
The polls will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Oct. 20 through Oct. 27, with polls closed on Sunday, Oct. 25.
WBRZ political analyst James Hartman says early voting numbers give people an idea of how the election will go.
“Early voter turnout can help predict the election once we’re able to see the turnout demographics, in this case, especially the geography,” Hartman said.
Early voting is for the Nov. 3 election, which includes 10 amendments to the state constitution, as well as U.S. Senate and House of Representatives seats.
