Teenage tryst lands high school football player in jail
DENHAM SPRINGS – A high school football player was arrested on carnal knowledge of a juvenile charges recently, police reported Friday.
Udrego “Tyre” Golmond, 18, was arrested when police found him with a 15-year-old girl after Golmond called for help for his car stalling on Veterans Boulevard. Police said while talking with the pair, they found that the two had a consensual sexual encounter.
It was then, police said, that Golmond was arrested.
Carnal knowledge is typically used to charge someone who is over 17 years of age but is alleged to have had sexual intercourse, with consent, with someone between 13 and 17.
Golmond, a senior, is a running back for the Denham Springs High School football team.
The school sent calls to either voice mail or hung up when WBRZ called Friday around lunch.
