CENTRAL — Frenchtown Road is closed between Planchet and Country Roads in Central as crews recover a truck that crashed into a canal over the weekend, sending two people to the hospital. 

The gold GMC Sierra pickup truck overturned into the canal on Sunday night. Firefighters extracted two people from the vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital, where one was treated for critical injuries. 

On Tuesday afternoon, crews began removing the truck from the canal.

Officials said they were unsure how long the road would be closed.
