KENTWOOD — Tangipahoa Parish deputies arrested two convicted felons on drug charges after a raid of a Kentwood home within 2,000 feet of a school. 

According to deputies, narcotics detectives have been investigating suspicious activity at a home on Oak Ridge Church Road in the Kentwood area over the past few weeks. After confirming the existence of a drug operation, warrants were obtained to search the property. 

Almost 300 grams of suspected illegal narcotics, including fentanyl, meth, powder and crack cocaine, marijuana and MOJO, along with prescription pills as well as production and distribution-related materials, were found in the home. Deputies said they also found two rifles and a handgun, two of which were loaded, along with cash hidden in a cigar box.

Tedrick Lee, 47, and Dashanae Harold, 28, were both booked on Sept. 4 on three counts each of felon in possession of a firearm, illegal carrying of weapons in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, as well as one count each of possession of a legend drug without a prescription, drug paraphernalia, violation of a drug-free zone and probation violations.
