Suspect killed during standoff in Terrebonne Parish identified
UPDATE: Authorities have identified the suspect as 55-year-old Terry A. Dubois Jr. of Gibson.
The investigation remains active.
GIBSON - One man was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting Friday in Terrebonne Parish.
According to Louisiana State Police, around 4:30 p.m., deputies with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Department were called to a residence on Fandall Street in reference to a domestic dispute.
When they arrived, deputies learned the suspect was armed and had barricaded himself in the residence.
At some point during the standoff, the suspect was shot by deputies and died on the scene, according to State Police.

No deputies were injured in the shooting. The incident is currently under investigation by State Police.
