Superfest finds home in Superdome after Tiger Stadium pulls out
NEW ORLEANS - After losing its home in Tiger Stadium, Bayou Country Superfest will move to New Orleans, concert promoters announced Tuesday.
The 2017 festival scheduled for Memorial Day weekend will be held at the Superdome. The concert series will mark its eight season next year - it's first outside of Baton Rouge. Tiger Stadium announced it could not hold the concert series for the next two years due to construction in the stadium for the next two post-seasons.
Promoters said the lineup and ticket information will be announced December 1st.
In 2016, attendance dropped for the second straight year. Industry experts suggested the country music concert scene is becoming crowded.
