Student shipped pellet gun to Plaquemine High School, according to officials
PLAQUEMINE — Iberville Parish school administration confiscated a pellet gun that was shipped to Plaquemine High School's campus on Friday morning.
The item was discovered by staff while unboxing packages received from a shipping company, with school officials claiming that the pellet gun was ordered by a student and shipped directly to the school.
"Because the package was intercepted immediately upon delivery, the item was stopped before reaching our entry security protocols and never reached any classrooms, student areas, or other parts of campus," wrote Iberville Parish Schools Superintendent Louis Voiron. "At no time were students or staff in danger."
