Protesters temporarily block I-12 at Airline Highway
BATON ROUGE - State Police responded to traffic congestion on the interstate at Airline Highway Saturday evening as protests continue across Baton Rouge.
According to Louisiana State Police spokesperson Bryan Lee, the traffic congestion was related to the protests happening around Baton Rouge Police Headquarters.
Lee could not say whether the road has been closed, but sources say protesters tried to block the interstate before being arrested by local law enforcement.
Traffic cameras showed a massive police presence and significant traffic. A WBRZ News 2 crew is en route to the location.
