Police identify man killed in Wednesday night shooting on S. 20th Street
BATON ROUGE - Detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) are investigating the shooting death of a 36-year-old man who was killed Wednesday evening.
Police say Clarence Augustus lost his life after being shot within the 200 block of South 20th Street, near North Boulevard, around 5:57 p.m.
Following the shooting, Augustus was rushed to an area hospital, where he passed away due to his injuries.
Officials have not released information related to a motive or to any suspects who may have been involved.
Police are urging the public to come forward with information related to the shooting by way of the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867(STOP).
