LAKE CHARLES — The Lake Charles Police Department has arrested a man accused of pouring bleach into a water bottle and giving it to a person whom he was the caretaker of. 

According to police, on Monday evening, 30-year-old Reginald Wilson poured bleach into a water bottle and gave it to the physically and mentally handicapped victim. A relative who lives with the victim reported the incident to Lake Charles Police.

Police added that the victim said the caretaker gave him the water bottle and after drinking it, he noticed it tasted like bleach. The relative then confronted Wilson, who admitted to pouring bleach into the water bottle. 

Heaven on Earth Home Health Agency was contacted and Wilson was forced to leave the property before police arrived. 

Wilson was later found and arrested on aggravated battery, cruelty to the infirm and mingling of harmful substances. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.
