FLORIDA – University officials are closely monitoring Hurricane Matthew as it could impact Saturday's LSU game against the Florida Gators.

Hurricane Matthew made landfall near Haiti on Tuesday morning and is moving slowly towards the north. The storm is expected to shift and could have an impact on Florida. The National Hurricane Center issued advisories for parts of the Florida coast.

Saturday's game in Gainesville is scheduled for kickoff at 11 a.m. in Florida.

According to University of Florida officials, there is no change to the time and location of the game yet. However, officials say they are working with local, state and university officials along with the SEC to monitor the storm and determine if a change needs to be made.
