BATON ROUGE - Since 1971, the O'Brien House has been helping save lives and families from alcoholism and addiction. The center was founded by former WBRZ Investigative Reporter John Camp.

The center is hosting its 23rd annual "United in Recovery Breakfast" to help fund its mission Monday morning.

The event, bringing together more than 400 community leaders, influencers and advocates, is set to take place as part of Recovery Month efforts.

The breakfast features personal stories, presentations and opportunities to support recovery programs that restore lives and reunite families.

The morning kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with coffee, a resource fair and networking. Breakfast is served when the program begins at 8:30 a.m. and the event wraps up at 9:30 a.m.

The event is geared toward community leaders and those passionate about supporting recovery and addiction treatment.
