LSU student vomits on others, fights deputies in student section
BATON ROUGE – Deputies say an LSU student had to be carried on an officer's shoulders out of Tiger Stadium after vomiting on other students and fighting police Saturday night.
Shortly after 10 p.m., East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies tried to contact 20-year-old Renuka Koritala about a complaint she vomited on other students in section 227. She briefly tried to flee but was caught on the section's stairway.
Arrest records say multiple deputies tried to restrain Koritala before she kicked one deputy, causing him to fall. Deputies then made the decision to fireman's carry the woman from the stands. While being escorted out, she freed her right leg and kicked the deputy a second time.
Deputies say they searched Koritala before "putting her into the patty [sic] wagon" and found a smoking pipe and a medicine bottle containing marijuana.
Koritala was transported to East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as well as resisting an officer.
