LSU, SU campuses remain closed Wednesday
BATON ROUGE - Both LSU and Southern University will remain closed Wednesday (Feb. 17) amid the winter weather situation.
LSU said the closure includes VetMed and Law. All LSU classes and activities scheduled for Wednesday -- whether in-person or virtual -- are cancelled. LSU closed on Monday, Feb. 15, due to the forecast of severe weather. LSU was already closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16, for the previously scheduled Mardi Gras holiday.
Wednesday's closure includes the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool. LSU Online students should check with their Learner Concierge or faculty member for more information on those 100% online programs. LSU bus service will also be suspended on Wednesday. LSU residence halls, on-campus apartments and dining halls will remain open.

Southern said it was closing its Baton Rouge campus, Southern University Ag Center and Southern University Law Center. Although, some online classes may meet virtually. The university said remote and online classes will continue as scheduled unless otherwise noted by respective instructors. Students should communicate any issues directly to their instructor/department.
