Louisiana natural gas and battery storage project planned near RiverPlex MegaPark
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — An independent developer of large-scale energy solutions powered by natural gas and advanced nuclear technologies announced that it signed a letter of intent with a Louisiana landowner group, according to a report by BusinessWire.
ONE Nuclear Energy LLC plans to provide site control for the development of Project Cayman, a 2.88 GW natural gas plant and a 700 MW, 2.88 GWh Battery Energy Storage System project, through a high-capacity data center campus.
Project Cayman is located near Louisiana's RiverPlex MegaPark, northeast of SpaceX's newly announced Starbase and will complement these devlopments with dispatchable genertation, energy storage and technology infrastructure near the new industrial loads.
