ST CHARLES PARISH – Drivers planning on taking I-10 eastbound to New Orleans this weekend should expect delays.

DOTD announced Thursday that the right eastbound lane of I-10 will be closed on the Bonnet Carre’ Spillway this weekend for a bridge inspection. The closures will last from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Drivers are reminded to exercise caution when traveling through the work zone areas and to lookout for crews and equipment.

DOTD said inspection activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
