BATON ROUGE — Employees from Humana Louisiana spent their morning volunteering at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank as part of the company's Community Day.

Workers helped build boxes, stuff them with food and organize donations at the food bank.

A Humana representative said the effort ties directly into the company's mission of supporting the whole person's health.

"Our mission is centered around the whole person and whole person health and that means paying attention to what each individual member needs, whether that's food, child care, transportation because we know that those are barriers to people accessing healthcare," the representative said.
