Franklinton man sentenced to 50 years in prison for production of child pornography
FRANKLINTON - A judge sentenced a Franklinton man who was convicted of producing child pornography to 50 years at hard labor without probation, parole or suspension of sentence as a triple offender.
District Attorney J. Collin Sims said 32-year-old Lindsey Dykes' convictions came after a four-day jury trial in December 2025 on charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, production of child pornography of a juvenile, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana.
He was convicted Feb. 11, 2026, after the jury found him guilty on four felony counts. Dykes was sentenced to 20 years at hard labor for production of child pornography, 20 years at hard labor for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and 10 years at hard labor for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, with those sentences set to run concurrently.
After that initial sentencing, the district attorney’s office filed a multiple offender bill to increase Dykes’ sentence based on his prior criminal history, which included a prior conviction for attempted simple rape.
On Monday, a judge imposed the 50-year sentence for production of child pornography of a juvenile as a triple offender without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
