DENHAM SPRINGS — A stretch of River Road was shut down Wednesday afternoon after a cement truck took down power lines, a Denham Springs Police spokesperson said.

The incident shut down River Road between Myra Avenue and Government Drive.

It was not immediately clear when the road would reopen. 

Entergy's map did not show a power outage in the area as of around 2 p.m.
