BATON ROUGE — A driver was taken into custody on Friday after allegedly leading Louisiana State Police on a pursuit along I-12.

The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. when troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on I-12 believed to be connected to an armed robbery investigation in West Baton Rouge Parish.

The driver allegedly refused to stop, leading troopers on a pursuit that came to a controlled stop near Millerville Road. According to state police, the driver was taken into custody and issued a misdemeanor summons for flight and traffic violations. 

No injuries or vehicle damage were reported.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office took possession of the suspect vehicle and a firearm as part of an ongoing investigation.
