DONALDSONVILLE — Hyundai-Posco Louisiana Steel held its Heart and Seoul Festival on Sunday at Louisiana Square in Donaldsonville.

The festival is part of its community outreach as construction of the $5.8 billion steel mill begins in the area. 

Attendees enjoyed live music, food and fun activities. 

Officials broke ground on the mill on Friday. Hyundai leaders say they expect to start commercial production at the facility during the first quarter of 2029.
