BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge Underground Film Festival is returning to downtown Baton Rouge this weekend to celebrate local artists.

The Louisiana film industry generates more than $1 billion in annual economic activity and supports thousands of local jobs.

Over the course of the weekend, attendees can watch both short and feature-length films from local filmmakers and participate in film workshops with local film industry experts. 

The festival aims to celebrate the artistic and cultural value of the incredible indie and genre-focused talent that flows to and from the city of Baton Rouge. The organizers of the festival say they want to foster a vibrant, interconnected independent film community.

The festival runs from Aug. 27 through Aug. 30. Tickets are available here.
