GEISMAR — The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened along Dutchtown Lane over the weekend. 

According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, deputies are working to identify the driver involved in the hit-and-run that happened on Saturday, Aug. 15, around 9 p.m. The car, a yellow Dodge, struck a pedestrian and left them seriously injured before driving away toward La. 74. 

The car was ultimately located and recovered, but the driver remains at large.
