ST. GEORGE — A free outdoor music series is coming to Highland Road Community Park in St. George this October.

Sundays in St. George is presented by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and the City of St. George and brings live music, local art and food to the community.

"This is something that we wanted to bring to St. George to celebrate art and culture in our community," Jonathan Grimes with the Arts Council said during a Monday morning visit to 2une In.

The first event takes place Oct. 11 and features Phat Hat. The second event is Oct. 18 and features Parish County Line.

Both events run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
