23-year-old killed, another injured in shooting
BATON ROUGE - A 23-year-old was killed and another man was injured in a shooting around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, according to BRPD Cpl. L'Jean McKneely.
Shaquille Davis was shot and killed in the front yard of his home on Alliquipa Street. A 21-year-old man was also injured during the shooting and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
McKneely says the shooter is a black male with a low hair cut and was last seen wearing a beige shirt and black shorts.
The motive for this shooting is unknown. Anyone with any information on this incident is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
