GONZALES - Detectives arrested a man caught on surveillance robbing a Zaxby's at gunpoint. 

The Gonzales Police Department said the robbery happened at the Zaxby's on Highway 30 on Jan. 6. The man, later identified as 18-year-old Devin Jackson, took an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled through nearby parking lots. 

Jackson was also arrested for a previous attempted armed robbery at Budget Inn on Highway 30. 

He was booked for first-degree robbery and attempted first-degree robbery.
